In September 2022, Eryn and Melody embarked on a bold endeavor, founding Mountain Willow Montessori—a community micro-Montessori. Recognizing a significant need within our community, the partners courageously took the initiative to establish a school dedicated to nurturing and embodying the concept of the "whole" child. Their vision encompasses a holistic approach to education, aiming to cultivate not only academic excellence but also emotional, social, and physical well-being. Driven by their passion for providing a fresh perspective on the Montessori Method, Eryn and Melody devised a comprehensive plan to realize their vision. With enthusiasm and determination, they eagerly anticipated the opportunity to introduce their innovative approach to the families of Colorado Springs. Since its inception, Mountain Willow Montessori has been committed to fostering a supportive and enriching environment where every child can thrive and reach their fullest potential.
Quality, Safety, and Equity are at the forefront of our mission.

Co-Founder
Hello…I’m Melody Cully! I'm a Colorado native! My journey into Early Childhood Education (ECE) began at the tender age of 9 when I launched my very own neighborhood babysitting enterprise. I quickly realized my passion for working with children and began to explore my options as a preschool teacher while in high school. After completing my A.A. in Early Childhood Education and receiving my large center Director’s certificate, I found my calling to Montessori pedagogy. I then completed the Infant/Toddler Montessori certification while serving as a classroom lead. I am a proud dog mom and animal lover!

Hi There…I’m Eryn Weems! I am a native of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and the mother of three amazing children. My journey to finding Montessori has been an adventure, to say the least! After serving in the Air Force as an Intelligence Analyst in the D.C. Metropolitan area for over 10 years, I realized I was not satisfied. I decided to pursue an A.A. in Culinary Arts, where I met the love of my life! I then moved back to the Springs and started a small business. Still craving passion, I stumbled upon my true calling, Montessori. I dove deep into research and exploration of pedagogy and found that the Montessori Method aligned directly with my personal beliefs, values, and goals. I completed my A.A. in Montessori Early Childhood Education in 2020. I have served as Classroom Directress and now serve as Mountain Willow’s Co-Founder and Administrator. I love serving our community’s children, families, and guides!

“I would absolutely recommend Mountain Willow Montessori with Guides Eryn, Melody, and Elizabeth. My children have been guided by these three wonderful mentors, and I can attest to the power of their loving care when coupled with the Montessori Method. The personalities of these wonderful teachers create an atmosphere of warmth, love, care, and empathy that is coupled with teaching skills of self-reliance, empowerment, responsibility, and self-discipline. They know my child is a person deserving of dignity and respect while guiding her or him to be the best versions of themselves. (This is no easy feat with preschoolers!) Importantly, Eryn, Elizabeth, and Melody are able to recognize my child’s strengths and interests to engage my child in activities and play that are of interest to them. I am amazed at what my children are routinely able to do for themselves and what they desire to learn more of because of the Montessori Method. Excluding academic progress, I am beyond pleased that my children are working with teachers who model care, love, and empathy. My children reflect these qualities and demonstrate care and concern for other people, animals, plants, and even insects! Your child/ren will love this school!”
